Welcome to the Fraser Heights Library Learning Commons! 

The Fraser Heights Science Academy is a joint venture with Simon Fraser University in which students will have the opportunity to enroll in University chemistry or computer science courses while still in secondary school.

Volunteer Opportunities 

Event volunteers assist our events team with the preparation and execution of programming at our major events throughout the year. 

As an Reading Buddies Volunteer, you are a role model to a young reader, practicing reading with your Little Buddy and engaging in fun literacy activities. Being a Big Buddy is a rewarding experience and counts towards volunteer hours. For teens ages 14-18.

Special Olympics BC's empowering year-round programs and competitions would not exist today – and could not have been created – without the time, energy, commitment, and enthusiasm of people just like you, thousands of volunteers who choose to take a little time from busy schedules to make the world a better place. More than 4,300 Special Olympics BC volunteers and coaches across the province make our year-round programs possible and make a difference.

Junior Instructors are high school or university students who lend a helping hand at our clubs and camps. Junior Instructors are invited to work closely alongside our instructor team to deliver and share STEM to youth in a hands-on and dynamic learning environment. This involves some curriculum development, assisting with lesson delivery, materials preparation, teaching opportunities, and more.
